Name: Sorcha Ray (formerly "Ravenschild" but there's only so much of her parents' spooky proto-Goth bullshit she's willing to indulge)

Sorcha was recruited to S.H.I.E.L.D. after she tracked down a Nigerian bank scammer who caught her on a bad day. She emptied all of his bank accounts, turned off his utilities, and wiped all official traces of his existence from his country of birth, all while catching up on back episodes of "NCIS" (fuck you, Gibbs is hot.) This was quite satisfying until the next morning, when agents from SHIELD (fuck all that punctuation, I did it once and that's all I'm gonna do it) showed up on her doorstep. As it turns out, she'd been on their radar for a while, because apparently it's some kind of crime to make a modest living skimming from corporate bank accounts that will never miss a few thousand bucks here and there. The Nigerian scammer turned out to have been working for HYDRA and had actually managed to fund some of their smaller operations with the con, proving that there are, in fact, people who just fell right off the turnip truck and onto the Internet.

While Sorcha might have preferred to continue her current mode of employment, mostly because it allowed for hours upon blissful hours of gaming, that was not one of the two options presented to her. One was to come work for SHIELD. The other began with "You know too much to go free" and went downhill from there.

Luckily SHIELD has an office in Portland, because faced with either moving or death, the choice would have been difficult. Moving sucks. If Sorcha ever wins the lottery, she will not buy a mansion and move into it. She will simply build a mansion around her current house and gradually spread out.

Oh, also, she communicates with ghosts. This is neither as lucrative as one might believe, since SHIELD forbids its operatives to moonlight as spiritual mediums, nor as interesting, as for every ghost worth knowing there are ten that just won't shut the fuck up.
